Ages ago, when I was doing fibreshare (a yarn swap), I wanted to make a project bad for my recipient partner. After a bit of googling, I decided on this pattern. The no-hand-sewing method for the drawstring channel is really clever, plus it has a flat bottom, so you can stand it up. Nicer than the simpler flat style and those plain looking field bags that people seem to inexplicably be willing to pay about £60 for. It’s also fully reversible, though given that both sides are the same fabric here, it makes no difference. I made three out of this fabric (which our neighbours were trying to throwing away in the wrong recycling bin), one for fibreshare, one for me and the bigger one for my friend Kristin. It was just really nice to sew something that doesn’t require fitting!
I’ve got some liberty fabric left from my burda dresses (this white one and this black one), which would be perfect for another one. I don’t really need more than one (I’m a one knitting project at a time kind of girl), but would be up for doing a trade for it, or ‘selling’ it in exchange for a donation to a refugee charity. If anyone is interested, give me a message!
