While the Edinburgh festival fringe is on, they always have venues and food and drink in George Square Gardens. We spent loads of time in the Assembly part of it (the gardens are given over two two separate companies) this summer, it’s a nice atmosphere during the morning and early afternoon when all the kids shows are on, and there was plenty of space to park buggies and get a picnic table and lots of food options so we could all get different things.
We did make the mistake the first time we went of getting ice cream from fancy pants place Alanda’s, and then the boys asked for it every time, and mostly we relented because it’s only on for a month and it was really really nice. So yeah, here we have stereotypical parent blogger pictures of kids eating sugary treats, hehe! These pictures were actually taken on the last day of the Fringe and we didn’t even go to a show or anything, we literally just went to hang out and eat ice cream. I love these pictures though, the light was really good, and although there’s not a picture of all four of us, as a set they are a nice family group I think.
I am sort of considering using the two individual photos above as the project 52 ones instead of what I posted on Friday (more of a story, but Ellis’ one is slightly out of focus).
