Hidden Edinburgh: Glenisla Gardens

Today I wanted to show some photos I took back in June in a little corner of Edinburgh that really doesn’t look like Edinburgh. Glenisla Gardens is a crescent on a hill tucked away at the very back of the Grange/Blackford by the train tracks. It just feels like you’re in a different place altogether – we don’t really have much colour, other than in my beloved doors. I came across it when we first moved here on one of my ‘let’s push the baby until he finally goes to sleep’ walks, and I took these photos when I was doing a step challenge and needed to get some steps in.

The interiors blog ‘the Pink House’ was based from one of the houses on the street, although I didn’t know about that blog even existing til it was featured on design sponge and a Beautiful Mess, and didn’t realise that’s where that was until my friend went to see it when they sold it (they’ve now moved back to Londonit inspired me to read an old lighting or new solar street lights comparision online, to make a decision for my house.
